The apartment was filthy, especially the shower, which had dirt and mold, and there was hair and dust everywhere. The sheets were yellow and torn, and so were the pillows. With our two young children, we couldn't bring ourselves to shower there. We stayed out most of the time and slept with our own towels over the bed and pillows so we wouldn't have to touch them. We usually rent apartments so we can make breakfast and dinner for the kids. This one was 105 euros a night, which seemed worth it for the location and the money we'd save cooking. Instead, we had to eat every meal out, so we spent twice as much, and the little time we were there was spent sleeping. We contacted the owner, who offered to have it cleaned, but that couldn't be done in a couple of hours. We also lost time waiting for the cleaner and showing her around. His other offer was an apartment an hour and a half from Salamanca. When we tried again to work out a solution or compensation, he stopped answering our calls, WhatsApp messages and emails, then blocked us on Booking.com so we couldn't post a review. We had a terrible stay and a ruined vacation. Renting a place like that, especially to families with children at that price, is a complete rip-off.

We found a lovely apartment that was both comfortable and clean. Booking through Booking.com was easy, and there was free parking nearby. The main sights in Salamanca were all close. A splendid place and a great experience.

The owner stayed up for us until late at night, which we appreciated. As for the apartment, it was otherwise pretty ordinary, but it needed cleaning. They said there was Wi-Fi, yet although the device was there, there was no connection at all.

The owner was so friendly and great. With that unbeatable value and such a good location, I'll definitely come back.
