Hotel Matilde by gaiarooms

The location is incredibly central, with all sorts of restaurants, bars, fast food places, and other spots right outside. The room was comfortable and a decent size, neither too small nor too big. It was a lovely surprise to find that the hotel is pet friendly: there was a treat, a toy, and a small bed for our dog. There was no staff on-site, so I can't speak to the customer service. Check-in and check-out were done at machines, which felt unusual but was easy enough. Cars are restricted in this area, so you can't drive or park right at the entrance. Watch out for this monitored zone, since you could get fined. There are streets with parking about a five-minute walk away. Good value for money. Well done!

The heater wasn't working properly, and nobody did anything to fix it. They also didn't provide any blankets to make up for the lack of heat.

We hadn't planned to stay overnight. At 11 am, while having coffee in the square, we decided to book. The room was very clean, the bathroom was decent, and the bed was comfortable. For what we paid, I really couldn't fault it. The location was the icing on the cake 👌. The soundproofing could be better, but I'd happily stay here again.

The bathroom and shower were good, and the location was excellent. The website check-in ran into a problem, though a phone call got it sorted. There's no reception, so you don't meet anyone in person. The building was noisy: you could hear other guests, drainage from the floors above, someone vomiting during the night, and a steady humming sound. There was nowhere in the room to hang or put clothes. The air conditioning was there, but without a remote, you couldn't use it.
