Hotel Melibea by gaiarooms

The staff were lovely and helpful at every point, from the call center onward. We were also impressed by the downstairs cafeteria, bar, and breakfast room. It was easy to pull up briefly at the entrance to check in or unload luggage, and the hotel is close to the main sights and a parking garage. We stayed at Melibea last year, in Nov. 2024, for my PhD's defense and really enjoyed it. The hotel's modern, streamlined look isn't a theme we'd usually choose, but we appreciated the overall design, the good taste, and the care and effort behind the details and spaces. It was a pleasant surprise, and when I need to return to Salamanca, this will be our first choice. Thank you.

The beds were comfortable, and housekeeping was friendly and did a good job. Some of the room's finishing work felt cheap, and the art was a little weird, but the garden and terrace were lovely. It's a peaceful spot while still being very close to Salamanca's must-see places. Cleanest hotel I've stayed in while in Europe.

The on-site cafe and bar are great, and the rooms are good. It's a quirky, modern hotel, with all the attractions only a 5-10 minute walk away.

The staff were friendly and the location was good, but the privacy was really poor, so I don't think I'd stay again if I had a choice. The room was clean, though far too small for the price, basically just a bed. The toilet wall was glass, and the room was on the ground floor facing the street, so anyone walking past could see in if you opened the window. There was hardly any natural light. The soundproofing was bad. The wooden inside wall let every hallway noise through, and it made me wonder whether people could hear what was happening in the room too. Water also ran onto the floor when I showered.
