For our first stay, we found the rooms really spacious and the hotel very clean. The kitchen was basic but worked fine. It's about a five-minute walk to the bars and restaurants in the new town. The only real nuisance was the lifts, which could be slow and meant waiting around.

We were grateful at first that the hotel could fit all 23 of us for a hen do. The rooms were clean and well located, but every one of our seven rooms had a €200 damage deposit charged to it. We were told it would be returned if there was no damage, and they only accepted card, which left us feeling they could take the money without us being able to challenge it. One bathroom cabinet was already broken when we arrived, with what looked like a little silicone holding it together. We photographed it before entering the room, but were still charged €200 for damage we hadn't caused. Staff have been unhelpful and refuse to refund it. I've seen other reviews from people who didn't get their money back either. I wouldn't recommend staying unless you're prepared to lose €200 for no reason. I wonder if they charge every guest who uses that room instead of repairing it. Very disappointed.

My son and I stayed from 20/02/26 until 23/02/26, and it wasn't a stag do or anything like that. They took a €300 deposit and said at checkout it would be returned once the cleaner had checked the room. We took videos before and after to show there was no damage. I'd seen people say they never got their deposit back, and now I still haven't got mine. I don't really know why, but I'm going to take this further.

The rest of the stay was good, and when I asked for another towel and bedding for the lounge sofa bed, they brought them up quickly. I was there with my two daughters. There was no damage when we left, and the hotel didn't report any, but nearly three weeks after returning I still hadn't received my deposit. I got one email saying they'd notify the manager, but it feels like they're stalling and hoping I'll forget. I've had to ask my bank to get the money back. Such a shame, but I would avoid the place now.

A good value place with a friendly crowd and a great atmosphere, though it can get rowdy with people drinking. It suits stag and hen parties well, but definitely isn't for kids. It's not what I'd call upmarket.
