Benidorm City Olympia Hotel

It’s a good cheap place to sleep in the old town, with the beach nearby and plenty of bars and restaurants right outside. Reception staff were very polite. There’s a €10 deposit for the kettle, and the main strip is around a 20-25 minute walk. We tried breakfast once and didn’t think much of it. This is a basic, budget-friendly hotel, so don’t expect luxuries or five-star treatment.

A good budget hotel in a great spot. The rooms are simple and clean, with a decent amount of space and comfortable twin beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. There’s air conditioning for both heating and cooling at no extra charge. WiFi is available throughout the hotel, though in our second-floor room the connection was very poor.

This deserves zero stars, but Google won't let me give that. Do not stay here. About €300 and £70 went missing from my suitcase over our four-night stay. I only noticed on the last day and went to reception; it took hours to see the manager, who was no help at all. He said the hotel wasn't responsible for anything lost from a room and told me to get a safe, even though there wasn't one. They didn't seem interested, and I suspect he took my money. The room was also very small and dirty, with no kettle and no view from the balcony.

For €50 a night including breakfast, it’s a cheerful little place in a great location. Staff were very pleasant, it was clean, and it’s attached to a bar. Just don't expect the Ritz at that price. We’ll be back.
