Hotel & Spa Dynastic

The food was a strong point, especially the restaurant team. Staff there were consistently welcoming, and the chefs were friendly and glad to help. Most of reception were polite and professional too, but a couple were rude when we raised concerns. When I asked about the gym session, one receptionist told my family and me, “If you're not happy, then don't go,” with an inappropriate expression. That was disappointing for a 4-star hotel. We had a spacious, clean, comfortable room on the 10th floor with a lovely balcony view. The bathroom was large and well kept. There are three lifts, and they were quick, with one usually arriving soon after we called. The hotel was generally tidy, but the key card holder that turns on the room’s electricity was damaged. The air-conditioning panel fell onto my head unexpectedly. It was lightweight so I wasn’t hurt; I put it back and reported it to reception. The gym and spa are included for just one hour on one day of the stay. Extra access is €18 a day, which didn’t seem good value given the gym’s state. Several machines were rusty, and the weight bar was bent and seemed potentially unsafe for bench presses. A men’s toilet on the ground floor was also dirty and smelled unpleasant. We reported that during our stay. The pool area is smaller than at some nearby hotels, but having separate adult and children’s pools is useful for families. The hotel has good views and spacious rooms, and the restaurant staff were excellent. Customer service needs to be more consistent, and the gym and general upkeep need attention.

After 14 years of visiting, I’d put this among my top three locations, and for the price it’s hard to beat. This was our first time here, but it won’t be our last. We booked the all-inclusive skyview premium, and the extra cost was worth it. The rooms are about twice the size of most options around the new town, and the hotel and rooms were clean. Food of some sort was available for much of the day, and the staff were all lovely and eager to help. It was my first all-inclusive where we were shown to a table and had drinks brought over. We felt welcome. The bus station is a 20-minute walk with just two turns. The sea is about 10 minutes away and visible from the balcony. Food and shops are right outside, about 20 seconds from the hotel. The adult pool is basic but more than enough, and the kids’ club was active with games through the day.

We got used to the token system after a day or so, though at first we sometimes forgot to bring the tokens. Dinner doesn’t start until 7:30, which felt a bit late, but the snack bar stays open until around 6. The location works well, with the beach at the end of the street, bars nearby, and the old town a short bus ride away. Staff were lovely, and the food was really good, the best all-inclusive meals I’ve had in a long time. The rooms were what I’d expect from a 4-star hotel in Benidorm. We had a great stay at the Dynastic and I’d recommend it and come back.

The rooms are a bit tired, though they do the job. The location is fairly central, and you can walk to the old town in about 30 minutes, passing shops along the way. Staff were welcoming and polite, the food selection was very good, and the all-inclusive service was good. The included drinks were very good too, even though one brand was excellent quality.
