The hotel’s location worked well, and we liked the sea view. Guests can also use the hotel viewpoint for €1 per person. Our room had a thoughtful touch: a red bathroom light that didn’t disturb sleep when we got up at night. We were there for three nights for a dance festival and were quite happy with the stay. The staff were kind and tried to accommodate our needs, including food intolerance. The food selection was less varied than at other hotels we’ve visited on the Spanish coast, though. We’d have liked more breakfast options, especially vegetables and better bread. The biggest nuisance was the lifts. We sometimes waited over 15 minutes, so allow for that at checkout if you have a bus or plane to catch. With 43 floors, going down 40 floors with luggage and a stroller isn’t really an option.

Anna gave me the best massage I’ve ever had. She and Elena were professional, welcoming, attentive, and made me feel completely relaxed. The massage even included a little reflexology on my feet, which was a lovely extra. I’d just spent an hour in the spa beforehand, and the whole experience was wonderfully calming. I’d definitely recommend visiting while you’re here. Thank you, ladies x

We had a wonderful stay at Gran Hotel Bali. The room was roomy and clean, with a comfortable bed and all the essentials, and the staff were friendly and quick to help. Check-in was fast too. The hotel’s height is impressive, and from the upper floors you get breathtaking views over Benidorm and the sea. It was my birthday today, and when I came back from a walk, I found a lovely complimentary surprise from the hotel. Such a nice gesture! 😊 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The pool and shops were really nice, and the reception area looks lovely, though there weren’t enough staff for such a large hotel. We also enjoyed the spa on the 19th floor, but using its pool cost around €18-20, plus another €2 for a swimming cap. It was our first stay here, and I wouldn’t rate it as a four-star hotel. Our room felt very old-fashioned and had no Wi-Fi. We were unlucky not to have a balcony, and the people next door held parties until about 2 a.m. on two nights in a row. We complained to reception both times, and staff spoke to them after it happened the second night. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the old town and sits up a steep hill, so be ready for plenty of walking.

Ana’s massage was one of the best parts of our stay: relaxing, professional, and well worth booking. The hotel itself is huge and makes an impressive first impression, but our experience was mixed. Check-in queues were too long and badly managed, and the lifts were extremely slow for a hotel of this size. The room also felt dated and could use an update. We found the entertainment room uncomfortable because of an awful smell. The food was often cold and unappealing, and some staff came across as rude and unhelpful. There’s potential here, but several things need work before I’d give it a higher rating.
