The golf club bar was excellent in every way, and the resort itself was fabulous, with gorgeous golf courses. Most of our group got upgraded on arrival, but unfortunately I wasn't one of them. My room, 5001, was near reception, and the sound of people wheeling their bags past early in the morning was like a train passing every minute. Either the walls or the adjoining door let through so much noise that I could hear everything. The room was equipped for disabled guests, but it didn't work well for me. A shower at 1.2m might suit someone in a chair, but it was awkward for me. The biggest nuisance was the lack of drinking water. I've never stayed in a European hotel room without complimentary water, and the minibar charged €3.50 for about 300ml. I was told rooms of my type didn't include water, which felt like robbery. The lack of facilities in my room clearly spoiled the stay. I would stay again, but I'd insist on a room away from reception and take a taxi to a local supermarket to buy all the water I'd need, and maybe some snacks. The restaurants were okay at best, apart from the golf club bar.

The massage was one of the best I’ve had. Patricia knows how to work deep and precisely, with a confident, strong technique that really eased my tight muscles and tension. The hotel spa itself is spotless, peaceful and run very professionally. Definitely worth it if you want a quality treatment that gets real results.

We ate at Casa Nostra, the Italian restaurant, on two nights of our stay. The food was excellent, and the restaurant team and service were fantastic. We’d highly recommend it. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, helpful and professional, and our room was clean and spacious. The pool areas and leisure facilities were amazing too. Hopefully we’ll be back soon.

Getting a taxi into Benidorm city centre costs about 12 euros, which is fine. The hotel itself is beautiful, with very large pools, great amenities and restaurants, and spacious, very good rooms. I would have given it five stars if they had handled my minibar charge properly. I was charged twice on my credit card after paying at checkout, and they never got back to me when I reported it.
