Hotel Cal Nen

At 90 euros a night, breakfast costs extra, and the hotel is very run down. The sheets are so worn they’re almost see-through. There was damp in the room, with water on the walls, and a generator came on at night, making quite a bit of noise when people showered. It seems this used to be a well-run hostel, but now it badly needs renovating.

The human touch was the best part, with fantastic, friendly service. We were there twice and already want to come back. The food was fantastic, and the rooms were clean and really pleasant.

I’ve been coming here for years. Magda is a wonderful person, and the place is comfortable. It feels like home.

It was okay, but I wish the place were more open to the public. We were there, and then that was it. I don’t remember much else.
