Snö Bielsa

Really good breakfast, friendly staff, and a clean room. I’m happy with it!

The setting is a big part of why I like this hotel. It’s on the eastern edge of the Ordesa Valley and Monte Perdido National Park, in a superb spot. The restaurant does a very good fixed-price dinner, with wine included. I’ve stayed several times, and it’s one of my favourite hotels. The rooms are lovely, with beautiful mountain views.

The staff made the stay especially memorable, and I want to give a special thanks to IONEL. He went above and beyond with the service and was great to talk with. Everyone else was amazing too. The surroundings were so peaceful, and the sound of running water was wonderful. We had incredible mountain views and loved the location. Everything was perfect, from the hotel to the staff and the setting. I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Bielsa.

The location is handy for walks and cycling, but there doesn’t seem to be much hotel competition in Bielsa. This is a 2 star hotel at most. Check-in took 10 minutes because the receptionist was on the phone, leaving us and the people behind us waiting. We booked half-board, which was a big mistake. I’d suggest room only if you stay here. Things have changed recently compared with older reviews. The restaurant was disgusting and unhygienic, with flies crawling over the food. The burger and steak grill five minutes up the road is an option for tasty, safe food. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable, but it had plenty of problems. We paid for a "superior room" because the website calls these rooms newly renovated and says they have "magnificas vistas". In reality, they’re on the first floor and have the worst views of any rooms. Ours looked out magnificently onto the road, so it was noisy too. When I asked at reception, the man said one person’s idea of a magnificent view might differ from another’s, and that the room was perfect in their view. The bathroom was dirty, the radiator rusty, and there was mould around the sealant. There was no air conditioning, so it was terribly hot day and night. I wouldn’t stay here again. The managers should look at places like hotel Silken in Ordesa or Hotel Villa de Alquezar to see what a good value, clean and friendly 3 star hotel looks like.
