Goien Boutique Hotel

We found a real gem in the middle of the old town. The beds and showers were comfortable, the staff were incredibly helpful, and the price felt reasonable. We’d gladly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Bilbao. The TV took a bit too much figuring out, though we were busy with the pintxo bars anyway. The shampoo could also be better. Beyond those small things, our stay was absolutely perfect.

Our family room was on the top floor, and as expected, it had no view. The narrow streets and medieval buildings mean there isn't much daylight in this part of Siete Calles, and with so many bars and restaurants around, evenings could get busy and noisy. Still, the location in the old town was excellent. The staff were truly wonderful and helpful, and breakfast was fabulous. I wouldn't go elsewhere for breakfast.

The location in Casco Viejo was great, and breakfast was marvelous. We had a comfortable room, complimentary still and sparkling water, and a beautiful lobby. The staff were another highlight.

The tram stop was just a few steps away, which made getting around to the places we needed very easy. Our room was spotless and had excellent furnishings, a particularly nice bed, and a huge bathroom with great towels and everything well equipped. We were upgraded, too. Breakfast was superb, with both buffet items and hot dishes made to order, plus excellent coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice. The staff and management accommodated everything we asked for during our week-long stay. Just wow.
