Though the hotel is showing its age, it's sparkling clean. The staff on the floors and at reception were professional, friendly, and helpful. Its location is excellent for exploring Bilbao and the surrounding area. Our superior double room with balcony was bright and spacious, and the bathroom was very comfortable. We missed having glasses for water or other drinks. Breakfast was adequate.

We booked this after an excellent hotel about a hundred meters away was full, but I wouldn't stay here again. The hotel is noisy and echoey, which made it hard to sleep. On arrival, only one woman was at reception, so we waited ten minutes to check in. Our room smelled unpleasant, like sick. She checked it and changed the sheets, which helped, but other arrivals then had to wait 15 minutes because she was alone. She was helpful, but I can't believe there wasn't anyone else available.

You can hear everything from the next room, the shower has no pressure, and the toilet paper is like you'd find in a prison. The list goes on. Sorry, but for this price I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is close to the Guggenheim Museum, beside the river, and near the funicular up the hill. There are good shopping options nearby, too. A bus stop is right outside, and the tram stops across the original Zubizuri bridge, which is also right in front. Great place, location, and very friendly staff.

I came from Chile for a vacation and had a great stay. The location is amazing, with all the important places close by. Everyone on staff was lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was good enough, and the facilities were neat and modern. I hope to come back soon.
