Pedro at the bar deserves a special mention. He looked after us so well and had a great sense of humour. The bar has a wide selection of delicious meals and drinks at very reasonable prices, and the staff were efficient and friendly. My room was quiet, large, clean and comfortable. The hotel is modern and perfectly located. Breakfast was incredible, with everything you could want, hot or cold. Fabulous hotel.

Finding the hotel can be tricky, as it's tucked away down a side street. Once there, though, we had an excellent stay. Our spacious room was well appointed, the WiFi was really good, and the hotel bar's food and drinks were good quality and reasonably priced. It's close to shops, restaurants, cafes, the Guggenheim and other local attractions. The railway station and public transport are nearby too. There was a problem with our booking through the Accor App, but an email sorted it quickly. Anna was amazing in helping us, and I'll definitely stay here again.

We've been visiting Bilbao every January for my birthday for the past four years, partly because of the comfort and great service at Mercure Jardines. The rooms are impeccable, and the reception team are professional and friendly. Pedro and Susana at the bar deserve a special mention. This last visit was my 50th birthday, and we were grateful to receive an upgrade. We did miss the spa this year, though. It had been a great addition to the service.

It's easy to explore Bilbao on foot from this central location. The rooms are large and comfortable, and breakfast is very good. The only difficulty was finding the parking.
