Pensión Caravan-Cinema

The rooms each take their theme from a historical movie figure, and ours was finished and set up to a high standard. This small, attractive hotel in the old town was a great find. Luggage storage was excellent, and the entry and exit system worked very well. We had a really enjoyable stay.

The staff were easy to communicate with and really helpful, and we loved sitting on the balcony behind the glass overlooking the street. Our room was clean, beautifully done, and well equipped, with a very comfortable bed and a shower that alone made the stay worthwhile. The location was ideal for exploring Casco Viejo and the riverside. We stayed two nights and loved this little hotel.

The Woody Allen apartment is in a separate building from the hotel and has its own entrance. It was cleaner and better than we'd expected, and the price was very good. Staff replied quickly to our emails before we arrived and were helpful. It's in a great spot in the old town. There's a bar below, but the soundproofing worked well. Two bedrooms are down the hall and away from the road, and it was quiet outside by 11pm.

Our room was Clint Eastwood, a spacious double on the second floor that had been set up for three. It came with a huge bathroom, street-facing balcony, Nespresso machine, and, after we asked, a fridge. The beds were very comfortable, and the power shower had lots of hot water. Double windows kept street noise out. The staff were kind and helpful. The hotel is easy to find in the heart of the Old Town. Reception is on the first floor, and you need a room code for the ground-floor entrance. The rooms are named after cinema stars. We'd definitely come back.
