Pensión Manoli

It's a room in a shared apartment, not a hotel, but it works for a night or two. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the shared shower was clean too. WiFi was satisfactory. We never met the hosts since check-in and everything else was handled online. One thing to know: some countries, including Sweden, Norway, and Germany, prohibit sending pictures of your ID, which you need to do for check-in. The room's in a great location. It was 38°C in October, but a fan made it livable despite the heat.

We stayed during summer, and our room got above 30°C. There was no A/C, and the setup didn't allow for real ventilation. The old town location is ideal for walking everywhere, but the streets stay busy late, and the windows let the noise through. A nearby construction site added to it, with sledgehammers starting around 8 AM. This is a large, ordinary apartment shared with other people. We were a couple in a room with one 1.20m-wide bed that dipped into a bulge in the middle. Neither of us could sleep, and I tried to get some rest on the floor. There are two bathrooms for nine rooms. They're in good condition and cleaned regularly, though they may not always be tidy because other guests don't leave them that way. Just a few things to know before booking.

The main advantage is the central old town location. Everything else was fine, including the climb up to the fifth floor.

A friend and I spent one night here before BBK. The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed; WiFi worked well where we were. We were on the top floor, which may be why it was quiet. It's centrally located near shops and places to eat, with a small convenience store about five minutes away for snacks and water. On our floor there were two lovely, modern shower and toilet combinations. They looked almost new, and the shower pressure was good, always a bonus.
