The staff were friendly and helpful, but we left after about 20 minutes and didn't get our money back. Outside our window there were groups of people, apparently non-native, taking drugs and blasting music. Staff told us they were harmless, and they may have been right, but we didn't feel safe. The rooms looked better in the pictures; in person they felt like prison cells, with poor lighting and a shady feel. The place is in what I think is the absolute worst part of Bilbao. San Francisco is a district to be cautious about, and I should have checked that beforehand. I ignored other people's warnings because I hoped to save money, and that was a blunder. Spend a little more on accommodation. I learned the hard way that the budget option isn't always worth it.

The location is central, near the main station and metro, but the area didn't feel very safe. The rooms were nice and clean, with a decent private bathroom. It's simple, still a hostel, but clean and has all the services. Breakfast is served at a nearby bar.

A really handy location, with helpful staff and lots of cheap, cheerful places to eat nearby. Great value for money, especially if you're working remotely.

The bathroom was so cramped I could barely move around, and the shower cubicle was barely usable, more like a mini bathtub with a shower. My room's walls were stained, and the whole place felt dated, almost like a prison cell. There was no AC or even a television. The photos made the room look okay, but I was disappointed when I arrived. I stayed three days while visiting lovely Bilbao, and don't usually choose this kind of place. I thought the price was reasonable, but €230 felt far too much for such a basic room. For €50 more I could have booked a nice hotel. My mistake trying cheaper accommodation, lesson learned. I didn't enjoy the stay and wouldn't recommend it. The area also felt a bit sketchy, with lots of young men hanging around outside who looked like refugees. This is just my experience, other people may have enjoyed their stay.

I messed up and booked for the following week, then showed up anyway. They sorted everything out for me and were super friendly and professional. The room was perfect and more. I'd definitely stay here again.
