The best part was the team. Everyone was welcoming, courteous, professional, and spoke good English. The reception staff were especially nice. Check-in and check-out were smooth, luggage storage was easy, and the location made arrivals and public transport simple, with the old city easy to reach on foot. Rooms were spacious, clean, and well appointed. Breakfast was good value if ordered ahead. There were some letdowns: the guest information wasn't accurate, and they had no shaving or vanity kits. Late checkout wasn't available, though we understand this was STA. Neither Sercotel Rewards nor Choice Hotels loyalty was acknowledged. Those missing amenities, outdated information, and the unmentioned loyalty status are what kept this from being five stars.

Our bedroom was a good size, and the double glazing kept it very quiet. The location is great and the staff were helpful. For parking, the secure public garage 50 m away was cheaper for several nights than the option under the hotel. Good value for money.

The area was quiet and well visited, with excellent restaurants and a café nearby. Our triple room was huge, and the bathroom was too. Everything looked modern and very clean. The bed was comfortable, the pillows came in different firmnesses, and at last, towels that were actually the right size for a shower.

The breakfast was a real highlight, especially the “Death By Chocolate” cake. I had a slice every morning, though I almost felt guilty about it. There were plenty of other good options too. My room was quiet and laid out well, and the hotel felt like great value. It was an easy walk to the Guggenheim Museum, Old Town, Metro Stations, and Gran Via. I was very happy with my choice and would gladly stay at this Bilbao hotel again. I'll also check whether the chain has hotels in other cities I visit. Highly recommend.

6/10
The room was clean and comfortable, the location excellent, and the staff friendly. Still, two things affected our stay. The air conditioning seemed to only heat, and since the window couldn't be opened, the room became hot and stuffy, especially at night. There was also a regional strike on our departure day. A notice explaining it would have been very useful, particularly with so many international guests at the hotel.
