Hostal Miranda

The reception team were great, really nice and accommodating. Just be careful about staying in summer: there’s no AC, and it gets extremely hot. I had to leave the balcony door open for air, but on Saturday the noise outside went on all night. Check what time of year it is and what’s happening nearby at night. That part is outside the hostal’s control, so I’d still give it 4 stars :)

For travellers on a budget, this was a good deal: my room cost less than 30 euro for the night. It was basic, but having a private bath and shower was a bonus, and the staff were friendly enough. There was some noise at night, though it’s a hostel, not a hotel. Free WiFi is available, just make sure to request it when booking.

The bathroom was filthy, with hair in the shower and generally poor hygiene. The sheets felt like A4 paper, the bed was so rough I might as well have slept on sandpaper, and there was no AC. Worst of all, while I was asleep, my phone and wallet were stolen from the room. The workers were useless, and I never got either back. This was the worst experience I’ve had staying abroad. Please don’t stay here.

You can hear your neighbours snoring through the walls, and the elevator is extremely loud. The rooms are very basic and noisy, more like a youth hostel. Location and parking are the only real advantages. There’s a better Hostal just two houses to the left for the same price.
