Petit Palau - Adults Only

The hotel itself is fine, but staff entered my room even though I’d hung the do-not-disturb sign on the door. That’s poor conduct. My things were out in the open, and I didn’t expect anyone to come in or use the safe. The sign should be respected, or the guest should be asked first. I don’t care what they say about trust. In response to the reply: I checked in the day before, and I knew I could reach out if I needed anything. When someone asks not to be disturbed, the note on the door is there for a reason. Respecting it is common courtesy.

There’s a nice pool, and the bar and coffee place downstairs is open 24 hours. The prices are cheap for a hotel, about the same as cafés outside. Around the hotel there are two supermarkets and plenty of places to eat, including an Irish Pub. The staff were lovely when we stayed at the Petit Palau from Thursday to Saturday morning. We were greeted by Lieve. I hope I’ve got the spelling right, sorry. It sounds like leef or leaf in English. The rooms were tidy and very quiet during the week. On Friday night we heard people moving in the corridor until about 11 pm, then it settled down. We skipped breakfast after seeing mixed reviews. We did look at it, and it seemed like an ordinary continental breakfast. We didn’t feel we missed out by not opting in for the coffeebreak, though it could be handy if you’re short on time. The bed was a standard double, which might feel small for taller people, but I’m sure they’d help if you asked in advance. Our mattress was on the firm side, which suited us. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms and pool area were clean, and the air conditioning worked well. We had a nice balcony view, and it’s only a five-minute walk to the beach. The accommodation was good, and breakfast was tasty, though it could have more variety. There’s only one lift, and it’s small and stuffy, which made it uncomfortable.

Such a lovely find. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the beds were the comfiest, and the beach is a five-minute walk away. The spa is gorgeous, and I had a fantastic massage.
