Real de Bohoyo

We’ve stayed several times in different houses and apartments, and the cleanliness, furnishings, and upkeep have always been great. Alberto is very friendly, and the town is lovely. There’s a river a short walk away for swimming, plus plenty of hiking. It works for dogs, kids, couples, or friends. In winter, our house was warm thanks to the wood-burning stove. Great for a weekend or a longer holiday.

We spent the week at Christmas and had a really lovely stay. Alberto was attentive the whole time and made sure we had what we needed. The place was clean and welcoming, and the area is great for walks and mountain hikes. People in Bohoyo were friendly and relaxed. Barco de Ávila is only a few kilometers away, and its historic center is well worth seeing. A good choice for a rural holiday.

The Tormes River is spectacular as it passes through Bohoyo, a beautiful, charming village with lots of hiking trails.

Everything matched the listing, and cleanliness stood out so much that my partner insisted I mention it, from the clothes and furniture to the bathrooms. We found the tap water delicious, the hot water excellent, and the fireplace just right. It’s at the edge of town, so it’s quiet, yet the center and hiking trails on the other side are both about five minutes away on foot. There’s also a small supermarket nearby called Gema, with good cold cuts and other supplies. We’ve found people in Avila friendly in general too.
