The location is beautiful, but the house was a total disappointment. We had no water at all, which is the bare minimum for a rental, especially when traveling with small children. We couldn’t shower or drink, and using the bathroom was a problem too. Nobody came by to explain what was going on. Then they still expected full payment on arrival. What nerve. A big fat zero for the people in charge.
We had 20 people, children included, and spent the weekend before Easter here. There was plenty to do and see, and no dull moments, so the time flew by. The place was peaceful, and both the adult areas and the ones for young people worked out great. We also explored Barruelo de Santullán and took the excursion to see the coal mine, which is well worth a visit. On the way home Sunday, we stopped in Olea for a delicious Olla Ferroviaria near the house. I’d recommend it too. Everything was fantastic.
The owner was lovely and went out of his way with thoughtful details. His coffee maker had been stolen, so he brought us a new one. The house feels cozy and rustic, with clever touches and modern details that stand out against its age.
A cozy house that worked well for several couples with children. Everything was great, and there’s a barbecue.
The views are spectacular, with nature all around, and the location is excellent.
