We left after the second night, even though we'd booked five. The place itself is beautiful, and the owners and staff are lovely, but the basics need attention. The hot water stopped about a minute into a shower, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, and the drains were blocked. Being a rural house doesn't excuse those problems. With some care, it could be a good place to stay.

There are three distinct spaces in this country house from 1892, all sharing the garden, pool, parking and other amenities. They differ somewhat in accessibility for people with reduced mobility, so it's a good idea to tell the owner, who's delightful, what you need and let her assign the most suitable space. Whichever one you stay in, the atmosphere is peaceful, the air is clean, and there are sea views. My photos are of space number 2 on the lower level. It's spacious, airy, clean, comfortable and pleasant, with charmingly antique furnishings. The house has been beautifully renovated and comes with Wi-Fi, a fridge, stove, microwave, a large water heater, a space heater, TV and more. The garden and nearby vegetable plots are well cared for. Parking is limited, so it's better suited to experienced drivers.

We keep coming back whenever we visit La Palma. The location is excellent, and the apartments are spacious, well equipped and surrounded by beautifully kept gardens, with a pool too. There's a warm family feel here, and Ana Teresa is the best host. We'll be back again.
