Hostal Espino

The staff are warm and professional, and the hostel is really clean. I get a room here whenever I travel from Barcelona, and they always manage to have one ready for me. The shower has hot water straight away, too. I've always been happy staying here. 10 out of 10.

The rooms are lovely, the price is very reasonable, and it's close to Seville, so I'd recommend the place. The owner was also a huge help: after I left something behind in my room, he mailed it back without hesitation. When my car had trouble, he quickly found somewhere I could get it repaired. Many thanks to him, he's a wonderful person.

From here I want to express my dissatisfaction, disappointment, and indignation towards Hostal Espino in Brenes. I explain: Since I couldn't find accommodation here in Cantillana for some friends who were coming to visit, I had to call Hostal Espino in Brenes, confirming the dates and price for a twin room (since there were no double rooms available). They confirmed the price as €50 per night per room. It was for two nights, but they charged me €120, that is, €20 more for no reason. I told this to the rather unfriendly gentleman who is the owner, or an employee, or I don't know what, and he told me that he had it written down at €60 per night. And I'm telling you, even on the phone, that we spoke and reiterated the price and dates, and he didn't honor the agreement. To me, he's not a gentleman, you know. By the way, the price is posted in the rooms, so you're giving yourself away. By the way, he lacks charm, empathy, and a bit of grace...

Let's see... you call and ask, "Is there air conditioning?"... "Yes..." A blatant lie... a unit hanging on the wall that doesn't cool the room at all, the heat in the room is unbearable... 35 degrees, to give an example, all night long... and the unit was set to supposedly 18 degrees all night... and it didn't get any better... I'll stop here... so as not to be disrespectful...
