Los Nietos

If they’d been open for dinner, we would’ve come back 😂 We’ve eaten plenty of good food in Spain, but this was the best so far. The lamb chops were among the best we’ve had in our lives, and the food had that delicious homemade style.

After the MUGA tour and tasting, my wife and I stopped in for a late lunch. We each had the three-course meal with wine for just €17 apiece. The food was creative and incredibly tasty, especially the soups and desserts. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and treated us like family, as if we'd been coming for years. If you're in Briones or passing through, I highly recommend Los Nietos.

What a lovely surprise. The server was cheerful and kind, the service outstanding, and they had amazing gluten-free bread. Wine came with the meal, and the chicken was grilled over chopped grape vines out back. I enjoyed the cheesecake for dessert, too. A delight in every way.

The food and service made this a truly memorable meal. Paco and his family run the place, and their hospitality was unparalleled. We had superb lamb chops and pork steak, with incredible sauces and locally sourced salt. The menu felt artisanal, and the wine list focused on local bottles. They cook over an open pine wood fire and also have a wood-fired clay oven. Even the vineyard owner behind the bottle we ordered stopped by for takeaway. He took time to play with our daughter, and the owner's father gave her a sweet as a present. We were also invited for a quick look around the kitchen. So welcoming.
