Finca Can Mel

A quiet, relaxing place with clean rooms and a really beautiful setting. The staff were extremely nice, and some gorgeous beaches are just a short drive away. 10/10, I’d recommend it.

There are plenty of good places to eat nearby and a little farther out, which is handy since dinner isn’t served on Tuesdays or Thursdays. On other afternoons, the bistro can keep you going if you’d rather stay in. Breakfast was plentiful and had a good range, and dinner was tasty and well prepared. Amaka’s Monday evening paella is a must. The staff are friendly, laid-back, and always ready to help. It’s a lovely place for kids, with beautiful grounds and a pool that we sometimes had almost entirely to ourselves. The hotel feels wonderfully relaxed and tucked away in the countryside. We were very happy here and would love to come back.

Elke made us feel very welcome when we arrived, and her tips really added to our time on the island. She helped us with all sorts of things, too. When we had a bathroom drainage problem, it was fixed straight away. The rest of the staff were very friendly as well. We especially liked the pool area, and the paella night was really well organised and worth recommending. We had booked the deluxe suite for a week. It was spacious, though not quite like the photos on the website. The balcony in room no 4 had a great view, but the kitchen extractor hood is directly below it, so the smell when someone was cooking came up quite strongly. The main airco unit also seems to be beside that vent. Breakfast was good, though it could use more variety after a few days, and the coffee machine wasn’t up to standard. All in all, we had a good stay, mainly thanks to the staff and the pool. At 190,- per night, though, we think some things should be fixed, hence the 3/5 stars.

We loved staying here. The rustic buildings are beautiful, and we were welcomed with a glass of champaign. The staff and service were very good. A lovely place if you want to spend time in nature, highly recommended.
