Es Corte Vell - Inland Bunyola - Adults Only

A wonderful two-night stay, with so much care put into both the service and the room. The room was spacious and lovely, and this was the friendliest host I've met on the island. Gracias!

Parking was a real struggle. The lane to the lot is extremely narrow, and the steep ramp made our car lift onto three tires every time we went in or out. Drivers used to tighter streets might find it normal, but we found it stressful. There was little street parking nearby, so we had few alternatives. We were also disappointed with the snacks we ordered on arrival to tide us over until dinner. The cheese board was enjoyable, but the croquetas seemed to come from a frozen packet and be heated in the microwave, and the artichokes were clearly canned. That felt out of place for a property that presents itself as upscale. On a rainy day, we hoped to make use of the bathtub in our room, but there wasn't enough hot water to fill it even halfway, so it was unusable. The room's entrance opened right between two tables in the middle of the hotel restaurant, and the head of our bed shared a wall with the dining area. Each morning, breakfast conversations carried into the room so clearly that we could make out every word. We assumed sound traveled the other way as well, which made it awkward to play music, watch TV, or have private conversations. We stayed two nights as part of our honeymoon, so the lack of privacy and the overall experience were especially disheartening. The staff at Es Corte Vell were warm and kind, and I don't like leaving small businesses a negative review, but the stay fell well short of expectations. I can see that many guests have loved it, but ours wasn't one of those experiences. I would personally rate this a two-star hotel.

The hotel made getting around Bunyola straightforward. From the bus stop down the hill, most places can be reached with about a 15-minute walk. We took the restaurant recommendations and had one of our best meals at Antic Grill. Ines was so welcoming and made our time better. The shared areas, both indoors and outside, are thoughtfully arranged and help keep the atmosphere peaceful. Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed. My partner and I had a wonderful, truly magical stay at es Corte Vell.

Bunyola is a lovely little town, and we really enjoyed staying in the area. We liked our time at Es Corte Vell, though the walls felt too thin, especially with our room next to reception. Breakfast was repetitive, but that's understandable in a small hotel.
