December was very peaceful while we were there. The service was spectacular, and everything in the room was very clean. There’s also a shared room with a microwave and a coffee machine, with complimentary capsules.

We had to cancel after a family member passed away. We gave three days’ notice, and I understand they managed to rent the place to someone else, but they still didn’t refund a single euro. La Casona, by contrast, returned all our money, and I highly recommend them for their kind treatment and excellent service. I can’t speak to the facilities, but I can speak to the complete lack of empathy. BEWARE OF THIS HOSTEL!!!!

The location is hard to beat, right at the corner of Calle Mayor, and the price is very reasonable. It’s a hostel, but feels comparable to pricier hotels. The rooms are a little small and sparsely furnished, though perfectly adequate, with good beds and mattresses. The bathroom and room were clean.

The room was clean and basically fine, a double with its own bathroom and two small beds pushed together, which I thought were 90 cm each. You can hear some noise from the extractor fans in the neighboring shops in the afternoon, between 4 and 6 pm. I can’t say what it’s like at night. The bigger problem for us was the heating. On a cold day, my wife and I couldn’t control the room temperature. Heat came from a water radiator that couldn’t be switched on or adjusted, so it was warm when the central heating was running and cold when it wasn’t. We spent time in the room from 4 to 6 pm because a minor issue came up, then decided to leave and find another room in town rather than risk being cold overnight.
