Apartamentos Aljama

We had a comfortable stay in a very clean house. The location is good, with everything about 10 minutes away, and dogs are welcome.

We stayed in a two-bedroom unit, one of eight apartments in the building, and had a very pleasant visit. It was clean and well maintained. The kitchen has all the appliances except an oven. There's a shared washing machine and dryer for a fee, handy if you need them. Street parking was easy to find, and there’s a Mercadona nearby, though the hill means you'll need to drive there. The center of Burgos is close, about five minutes by car, but the apartment is on a hill. Be aware of the restricted zone for polluting vehicles. For now there's only an informational sign, but fines are due to start next year (2026), so getting to the apartment could be difficult if your vehicle can't enter the zone. The towels smelled stale, like they'd been washed without fabric softener and left stored for a while. We bought softener and washed them, but the smell remained. The owner should look into the laundry service or replace the towels. We saw signs on neighbors' balconies showing they weren't happy about the apartments, but had no trouble over it, and the neighbors we met were friendly. I'd recommend the apartments and would stay again if I return to Burgos.

The outside made us a bit unsure at first. It looked like an ordinary run-down hostel, and we saw signs against this kind of accommodation on some apartments, but once inside we were pleasantly surprised. The apartment is beautiful, spacious, and clean, with a really comfortable mattress. Everything was in great condition and carefully looked after. There's parking right next door, an elevator, and air conditioning. The Cathedral is a 10-minute walk away, and they provide coffee and water. I'd definitely stay here again.

We felt right at home here. The location is excellent, less than 15 minutes from the Cathedral, and street parking in this residential area wasn't a problem. The apartment is one of the best I've seen, and I've seen quite a few: modern, comfortable, tastefully furnished, and spotlessly clean, with high-quality finishes and an elevator. It makes great use of the space and stays at a perfect, steady temperature.
