Casa Do Zuleiro - Adults Only

The owner was kind and friendly. It’s a clean, cozy, and pleasant place to stay.

There are lovely places to sit both inside and out at Casa do Zuleiro. The interior rooms have bookshelves and are nice for relaxing with a book, while the patios have chairs and loungers for sunbathing or a chat. Our spacious, tastefully decorated room had everything we needed: a coffee maker, TV, Wi-Fi, a strong standing fan we didn’t use, and a fridge with complimentary water that we could refill in the dining area. The bathroom was another highlight, with a whirlpool tub, tasteful decor, and a few amenities. Breakfast was a simple buffet, but there was plenty of fruit, cold cuts, and pastries, all nicely laid out. The owners served coffee with big smiles and offered tips on routes and places to visit, just as they had when we arrived. They greeted us warmly, explained the house rules, showed us around, and answered our questions about the area, including recommendations for restaurants and sights. We parked in the accommodation’s lot. When we left, they again sent us off with kind words and smiles, and said they’d be happy to have us back for longer. José made us feel at home during our Friday in November at the "Autumn Gastronomic Festival." The value for money was excellent, and we loved everything. Dinner was high-quality homemade food, served on a glassed-in porch as rain fell and the fire crackled. The house is spectacular, full of details that bring another era to mind. We had a relaxing soak in the hot tub, and the bedroom had an enormous, incredibly comfortable bed. The next morning’s delicious breakfast had sweet and savory choices, fruit, cereals, and seeds. We wanted to try it all. We wholeheartedly recommend Casa Zuleiro!

The village is very, very quiet, and access was easy with parking included. The room was super comfortable, the bed was comfy, and the jacuzzi worked perfectly. Breakfast was complete, too. Highly recommended for a rural getaway.
