Our room door was standing wide open when we arrived, which left us wondering why. The restaurant waitress was very rude when we asked for hot water. She looked unhappy and muttered, then threw the kettle onto our table. Be careful if you eat there. If she’s in a bad mood, she may take it out on customers.

Brenda at the front desk was especially lovely and helpful, and the staff were wonderful. It’s a centrally located hotel with ordinary bedrooms and nicely sized bathrooms. There aren’t many services, though breakfast is available.

The spacious room and shower were a pleasure, and the bidet gets a 10/10 from me. The receptionist was attentive and suggested some nice places to visit. There’s plenty of choice for eating out around the hotel, which is in a great spot for sightseeing. The thin curtains let the summer sun become bothersome early in the morning. Construction was going on too, and someone suddenly appeared outside the window at 9 am, which definitely wasn’t on Burgo’s bingo card. Breakfast isn’t included, and the minibar had no power, so I wouldn’t take anything from it. A pleasant stay, though the construction was a pain.

We paid very little and got a lot for it, even allowing for it being low season. The room was really clean, and reception was nice. Staff were accommodating, provided great service, and greeted us politely whenever we came or went. I really liked both the hotel and the city, and hope to come back soon.

The location is very good and the beds were comfortable, but the room was on the small side and not very warm. The staff weren’t especially friendly, and for a four-star hotel I expected little shampoo bottles and similar bathroom items. The room itself was okay.
