We had a great stay at the hostel and ran into no problems. The host was easy to contact, too. A hairdryer in the room would have been handy, though I didn't ask reception, so maybe they had one available.

The room was clean and nicely furnished, though we sometimes ran out of hot water. What really stood out was the staff: they went far beyond what we expected to arrange a private tour of a local factory we'd asked about. That more than made up for the cold shower.

The hotel was neat and clean, and the staff were very friendly. We also enjoyed the guitarist they had hired for the reception. But we booked for New Year's Eve and came away disappointed. The seafood soup had lovely flavor and the chef's skill showed, but it arrived cold. The seafood platter was low quality, the kind of thing you could find better in any neighborhood. The disco didn't feel like much of a New Year's celebration, more like a neighborhood party.
