Castilla Termal Brihuega

The rooms were very nice and clean, and the spa and treatments were decent. Still, the staff and experience didn’t match the five-star place or the high price. At check-in there was no welcome drink, and we couldn’t use the hotel’s private parking, so our car stayed on the street. The minibar had been refilled incorrectly or only in part. Dinner was included in our package, but there was no vegetarian option. We’d informed both the hotel and restaurant in advance. They eventually promised to arrange something, but it only happened after we sent the dishes back during dinner. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but it definitely wasn’t what had been promised for that price. I wouldn’t come back.

The pool was lovely and refreshing, and there wasn’t too much chlorine. The bees outside the pool didn’t bother us, and they don’t attack. I’d happily return just to lounge there and unwind. It’s an easy escape from Madrid, only an hour away, with beautiful landscape all around. The hotel’s eco-friendly feel was a plus, and the historic building gives the thoughtfully designed spaces a special setting, even though some interior fixtures aren’t the best quality. Breakfast was generous and delicious. The thermal spa was a unique experience, too. Service felt a little inconsistent, perhaps because of the remote location, but nothing spoiled our stay. I do wish they served snacks at the outdoor pool, not only drinks. A peaceful gem, and I’m glad somewhere like this is so close to Madrid.

We stopped at the Castilla Termal Hotel restaurant for lunch while visiting Brihuega during the lavender bloom, and it was an excellent choice. The food was delicious, with balanced flavors, quality ingredients, and lovely presentation. The atmosphere was elegant and peaceful, just right for a relaxed meal. Service was outstanding from beginning to end, professional, attentive, and friendly. The hotel also impressed us with its attention to detail and the whole team’s impeccable service. We’ll certainly return. Highly recommend both the restaurant and the hotel!

Regina deserves a special mention for her attentive, professional service and the smile that made everything more pleasant. Breakfast was varied and high quality, a lovely way to start the day. The spacious, comfortable rooms had a peaceful feel that made it easy to lose track of time. The common areas and thermal facilities are a treat for the senses, especially after exploring Brihuega. Castilla Termal Brihuega is more than a hotel: its stunning historic building and impeccable facilities make the stay feel like an experience. A lovely spot in the heart of La Alcarria that I’d want to return to.
