The location was a real plus: easy to find, with everything nearby and only a couple of streets from the bus station. A taxi can drop you off or pick you up right at the door. Unfortunately, most of the staff weren’t kind. One receptionist and one cleaner were fine, but others looked tired and unfriendly. One cleaner came into the room shouting about how badly a woman had left it, and another person coughed over me. I reported the shower head problem in writing and in person, but no one dealt with it during my four days there, so it was the same every day. The kitchen was often unclean, and the rubbish situation was worse: it was unclear which bin was for paper, and the organic waste was mixed together and left around the sides.

It was better kept than I expected, and the beds and sheets were clean. The location is great for the city center, bars, and restaurants. A few lockers needed fixing, but those small details matter.

There was no hot water, and getting a refund was difficult between the property and Booking. Avoid it if you can.

For a city, the price is affordable and the location is great. You can smoke in the central courtyard, but every room’s windows open onto it. The entrance area was very messy, with boxes, drink containers, and other things lying around.

The room felt stuffy, and opening the window meant dealing with noise all day and night from the ducts in the inner courtyard. Staff were rude and said I should have asked about the noise before booking. I decided to leave, but although they weren’t full, they offered no refund. They did offer a different room, but I didn’t like the vibe. After three months on the Camino routes, this was my worst pilgrim experience.
