Hotel Boreal Viento Norte

We really liked room 108, especially its layout and comfortable bed. It was very clean, and the three windows brought in lots of light and gave us good views. The reception guys were so kind and quick to help, and check-in was smooth. We’d gladly have stayed another night, but they were sold out. The location is amazing, with an easy walk to the Cathedral, market, and coffee. It’s budget-friendly too. 10/10 recommend for a rest from Camino life!

The location made it easy to walk to most of the sights, and getting in was secure and straightforward. I stayed four nights in May. My small double felt plenty big, and the room was clean and quiet. There’s no 24-hour front desk, but that didn’t cause me any trouble. I’d consider staying here again.

We came to Burgos for a couple of days off while walking the Camino, and this was a good place to do that. The room was bright and seemed recently renovated, with a view of the church, its garden, and the library. There was a mini fridge too, which kept our beer properly cold. The size worked well for two adults who mainly needed somewhere to rest and sleep. The hotel is close to restaurants, shops, and the cathedral, with a modern public library and a church being renovated into a museum space right beside it. Rates can be very reasonable compared with a private albergue room for two, depending on the day, but book ahead because rooms sell out. We found places nearby to wait when we arrived early, since there isn’t a front desk open all the time. They communicate the check-in details clearly. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We had no hot water at first, but they sorted it out in under two hours, which seemed reasonable for the time of day. There’s a freshly ground coffee machine in the lobby for about 1€ when it’s open; otherwise, cafes and bars are close by. We’d stay here again if we’re back in Burgos.

The room was lovely and the location was great. An online check-in option beforehand would make the arrival process quicker.
