Hotel Cuéntame La Puebla

The location is ideal for getting around Burgos, and the staff were attentive, courteous, and eager to help. We slept well in the cozy bed, and the room’s layout was comfortable. The bathroom had a fantastic shower and a modern design. There were some problems too. The air conditioning didn’t work, so they gave us a tower fan, which wasn’t great on warm days. One window wouldn’t close properly. Since we were on the first floor with a flat roof outside, that made us uneasy about safety. The view was of a dirty backyard, though it didn’t bother us much because we spent most of our time exploring Burgos. It’s a comfortable, well-located hotel with good amenities and service, but those technical issues took away from the stay a little.

Valentina was super friendly and helpful, and the coffee was the best I had in Spain. The hotel is clean and cute, with rooms that have bathtubs. I stayed two nights while walking the Camino and loved it. It’s central but really quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, highly recommend!

We accidentally booked an economy room without air conditioning. Because of the heat, reception kindly moved us to another room with air conditioning at no extra charge, subject to availability. The rooms were clean and nicely sized, and the location and price are a very good balance. Thanks!

The hotel has a nice boutique design, with good furniture and a pleasant room and bathroom. It was clean, though not perfectly so. Our room was cozy and nice, but not very practical: there was nowhere in the bathroom to put our things, and space to move around the room was limited. With a baby, getting around with a pram would be awkward compared with other hotels. It’s centrally located, but rooms facing the street can be noisy, with pubs and bars right downstairs. Parking is discounted, 13 euros for one day.
