Hotel María Luisa

The bathtub was our main problem. The drain barely worked, leaving my family of two adults and two children standing in muddy water up to our knees while showering. We reported it as soon as we found it. Several staff members tried to fix it but couldn't, and we weren't offered another room. At checkout, the hotel also refused a refund despite the unacceptable conditions. There were other issues too. The shower screen wasn't secured and kept swinging side to side. The old hairdryer barely worked, and the toilet faced a wall with so little space that our knees touched it. The window above the air conditioner wasn't secured properly, so the unit's vibration made it rattle loudly and impossible to sleep. We had to turn it off overnight.

Sonia at reception was lovely. The room was very small, the air conditioning didn't work, and parking was extremely limited. Breakfast was mediocre at best.

The staff were very friendly and ready to help, and you can park underground for 13 EUR/day. Breakfast was perfect, all fresh and high quality. Thanks so much for the hospitality! It's a lovely place to stay while discovering Burgos. The hotel is stylish but cosy, with attention to detail. My room was very clean, with a comfortable bed, a big bathroom and a small fridge.

For the price, I was quite disappointed. Street-side rooms are pretty noisy, and you can hear people talking outside, though at least traffic was light overnight. My room's heating didn't work, even though it was 6°C outside that night. The sheets in the other room were scattered. Breakfast was okay, but the orange juice was expired. They only threw it away after another guest complained.
