Los Braseros Hotel

My room was tiny, with barely enough space to get around the bed, and the shower was too small for someone big like me. It wasn't soundproof either, so we could hear people late at night doing their thing. Thank goodness the kids were fast asleep. We had reserved breakfast and parking, but when we arrived, we had neither. They said breakfast service had been cancelled for some reason and the car park was full.

The staff I dealt with were friendly and pleasant, always smiling. My basic twin room had a shower room that wasn't tiny, and it even had a hair dryer, always a plus for ladies. This little gem is about half an hour's walk from Burgos Cathedral, and it's worth it. Would I recommend it? Damn right, every day and twice on a Sunday. I'll be back.

The breakfast was miserable. The cereal bowls were dirty, and instead of replacing them with clean ones, staff washed them, which took a long time. Other guests complained that the toast was falling onto the table instead of onto a plate or platter. The orange juice situation was bad too. Don't go to this hotel or its restaurant. My room was dusty and full of fluff. The freezer was under the work table, and the heating was turned off at night. I was freezing and had to get up for a blanket, which still wasn't enough.

Dog friendly, easy parking, and a nice bar and restaurant. We had a delicious dinner with a bottle of vino tinto, and the service was perfect. Our room was very nice, with a private terrass. It exceeded my expectations in a lot of ways. The only letdown was the very simple breakfast. With a better one, I'd give five stars. As it is, 4.5. Good job, Los Braseros. I hope to stay again. 🤗
