This is about the restaurant. We got there at 1 pm on a Sunday and saw the bar piled with dirty plates and glasses. There were three female waitresses, but none seemed willing to clear it. They were also extremely rude and impatient. We waited more than 15 minutes while they ignored us and served only Spanish locals, so we left. I wouldn't recommend it to pilgrims: the service is bad and the prices are ridiculous.

The owners were so thoughtful with their service that they even made food for us after the kitchen had closed and accommodated my gluten intolerance. We loved staying here and will definitely come back. The building's architecture is beautiful, and everything was exceptionally clean and comfortable.

The €10 menu was mind-blowing, with four choices for each course. Drinks aren't included, but they're very reasonably priced. The food was delicious and the service kind and efficient. Even before going in, the building and its setting draw you in; inside, the architecture is just as striking, and the restrooms are pleasant and functional. Find this place and have lunch here, you won't be disappointed!

Cacabelos has a great spot in its old town centre, among old buildings with a huge coat of arms and the main church. It's a charming town in the middle of one of the richest valleys in the Minho basin.
