Apartamentos Don Manuel

Carlos puts together an amazing breakfast buffet. So many good-quality options, and it may be the best hotel breakfast I’ve had.

Getting into the city was easy from here. Our standard room included parking and had lots of space, a large bed, and a seating area. The staff made us feel welcome and were friendly throughout. Excellent hotel in every respect.

The staff helped me through a difficult situation and never made me feel like I was asking too much. They were always willing to respond to my requests, and I’m deeply grateful. The room was spotless, cleaner than many four- and five-star hotels I’ve stayed in around Paris. Breakfast was a treat, especially the range of cheeses. The bed felt like a cloud, and the shower was like a waterfall. Gran Hotel Don Manuel may not officially have five stars, but it’s worth seven to me. Whenever I’m within 50km of Cáceres, this is where I’ll stay. For life.

We were stopping here because it was on our route, rather than visiting the city for fun, and I really have no complaints about the place. The restaurant was a highlight, with fantastic food and wine, and a very attentive sommelier to help choose both a drink and a meal. Breakfast didn’t impress me much in terms of quality, though the buffet had a wide selection. The rooms were tidy and nice, and we slept amazingly well.
