We started our walking trip along the Costa Brava with a wonderful stay at hotel Octavia. It's right in the center of the little town, close to everything, and has parking. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with a big bathtub and a cute balcony where we could hear birds singing. The young woman at the front desk was incredibly helpful. She let us check in early, brought an extra towel and forks, and printed documents we'd forgotten to bring from home. Stellar service, highly recommend.

We had a good one-night stay and would come back. The location is great, the staff we met were friendly, and the clean room had a comfy bed and a good-sized bathtub. Breakfast worked for us, though it may feel light if you're expecting a hearty meal. We appreciated that it was included in the price. You need to ask for parking, but that wasn't a problem for us. The TV is small, and honestly, I don't know why hotels still bother with them. A mini-fridge would be a nice extra.

Awful experience with the receptionist. I booked a room, then was asked to complete check-in by sending ID cards for everyone, like at an airport. This is just a hotel room, not an Airbnb. I called to explain I didn't have time for that process and wanted to cancel. The woman hung up on me abruptly. I called back nine times, and when I tried using a hidden number, she still didn't answer. The reaction felt like sudden, pure hatred. I can see why previous reviews complained, the staff at this so-called “hotel” seem to come straight from hell.

On a two-night trip with a friend, I found the staff friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was simple, but very clean, comfortable, practical, and large enough. The price felt fair for what we got.

The hotel is a block from the beach, and the staff are really friendly. Breakfast was good too. The room could use a bigger TV and a mini-fridge, but I'd still recommend staying here. It seems they're renovating the hotel, though they keep it very quiet.
