Nou Estrelles

We only booked one night in Cadaques while visiting our daughter, who had been studying in Barcelona that semester. We had an apartment in Barcelona and planned to tour the Dali home, then head to the museum the next morning. In the end, all of us wished we'd stayed longer. The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean and nice, and the location was perfect. Cadaques is such a special place. We'll be back!

Just what you need without paying for anything fancy: the room had all the basics, and the mattress was as good as one you'd find in a superior hotel. The host was lovely, and parking was included in the price, which is a real plus in this small village. It's a reasonably priced hostal at the entrance to The Villa of Cadaqués.

The room was cleaned and the beds made properly, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. It's a simple hotel, but the room looked nice inside, unlike the awful interiors you sometimes get at holiday resorts. About a five-minute walk gets you to the boulevard, with bakeries, ATMs and supermarkets nearby. I'm not sure whether breakfast is served, but going for a walk to find something nearby seemed easier and better to me. In Cadaqués, wander the streets around the church and let yourself get a bit lost instead of sticking to the boulevard restaurants. Avoid Bambu Blau, where they charge 6e for two scoops of ice cream. Get pizza at Cesar, and visit Dalí's house for lovely nightmares. This hotel is a nice, decent, more affordable place to stay.

The room was wow, and the breakfast was fantastic. I was so lucky to find this hotel at the last minute. I loved it, and the kindness meant a lot. I'll definitely be back. Namaste 🙏🏼, Janine
