The location in the old town was great, and the rooms and shared spaces were exceptionally clean. Still, the breakfast was quite basic. We paid for it expecting things like eggs Benedict or a vegetable salad, then found out those cost extra. The coffee was self-serve from a capsule machine, so there was no flat white or cappuccino available at breakfast. We also paid extra for a balcony room hoping for a nice view, but the nearest building's wall was only about three metres away. The rooftop shown in the advertising is reserved for one super suite, so other guests can't use it. There isn't a bar for evenings, which seemed odd for a four-star hotel at this price, and access to the pool costs extra too. Hotels at a similar level usually include it.

The spa alone makes this hotel worth a visit. It's one of the best hotel spas we've tried. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed, and the hotel is beautiful, right in central Cádiz. We could also get to parking lots easily. Highly recommend it.

The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, even though the hotel is only a few steps from a square where locals gather for beer and tapas. I also liked the large, soft shower towels. The building opened as a hotel in 2023 and is in very good condition, while keeping many of its original 19th-century features. There's a well-equipped gym, and the spa is nice, though it costs an extra €25 and is reserved just for you. My one suggestion would be to serve local honey instead of the commercial kind. The region makes very good honey, and it deserves to be promoted.

We had breakfast included, and both the food and service were excellent. The staff were polite and very friendly, and our first-floor room was spacious with a big bathroom. The hotel is a beautiful historic building. Using the spa costs extra, but having it to ourselves for an hour was really relaxing. I'd definitely come back.

The location is good, the building is stunning, and the service and breakfast were both nice. The building formerly housed the British Embassy during the Napoleonic wars. Even so, I can't recommend staying here without warning people about the risk of getting one of the two ground-floor rooms. We were put in a room between reception and a wall facing a busy street. We could hear every word from both the street and the reception, even with the thick windows, and the noise made it hard to enjoy the room. The beautiful bathroom also smelled like a septic tank, and the smell got worse through the day. We asked to move, but were told the hotel was full and nothing could be done. We only stayed one night and didn't want to push the complaint further, but a longer stay in those conditions would have been unbearable. The room you happen to get shouldn't make this much difference to the quality of a stay.
