La Casa Rosada Palace

Really good Italian food, right in the old town's heart.

There was a €30 cleaning charge upfront, but the floors weren't clean and the cutlery was sticky. The photos made the place look lovely, which made the reality all the more disappointing. The raised beds are reached by wooden ladders that won't work for everyone. The bathroom had a strong sewer smell, and the water heater only lasted for three showers, a miracle for a house meant for 15 people. Such a shame given how nice it looked.

The place was dirty, and management was terrible. One bathroom had an awful sewage smell, the floor was unclean, and the kitchenware felt sticky. The beds are in a loft with no working light, reached by nearly vertical wooden stairs. There's even a note telling you to go down backwards. Those stairs aren't workable for elderly people or small kids. We had a four-year-old with us and moved a mattress downstairs to avoid an accident, then they took money from our deposit for "furniture displacement." We asked for a complaint form and are still waiting for a reply. This accommodation ruined our trip.

The apartments are pleasant and look out over a typical Andalusian patio, and the place is nicely situated in the center. There were a couple of issues: the bathroom doors wouldn't close, and the living room heater didn't work.
