Pension Cadiz

I was glad there was no TV, and the weather wasn’t too hot, so I didn’t even need the fan. If it gets really hot, that might be a different story. My room faced a very busy, loud street, and closing everything still didn’t block the noise. Fine for a short stay, but bring earplugs. The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. They offer coffee and tea, which was a nice touch. Make sure you know how to get into your room: I wasn’t told to use the elevator and nearly had to call them, but figured it out. I liked staying here in the middle of the city, and it was a good place for a short rest after lunch before things opened again. Give it a try.

This charming rustic Neoclassical Pensión sits right in the center, with a lively buzz outside and an inner courtyard. The staff speak English, are attentive, and keep in touch clearly through the booking chat, WhatsApp, and other channels. There’s lots of tourist information at reception. Free coffee, tea, and biscuits were a nice bonus, as were the good price, above-average cleanliness, and thoughtful extras like an ironing board, board games, and a parasol. There’s also a fridge with a compartment for each room, good Wi-Fi, and a keyless chip for the main entrance and a corridor door. The house has had some basic renovation, but deserves more fundamental refurbishment. Some rooms with shared bathrooms have no window, so it’s worth booking a room with its own bathroom. Overall, a charming little gem and great value for money.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating during our two-night stay at Pension Cadiz. The rooms don’t have air conditioning, but ours was clean and presentable. I’d certainly recommend the place when visiting this wonderful city.

The room had good windows, but faced a noisy street. It was clean and well organized, and the location is very central. The price felt perhaps a little high, but I’d still recommend this place to friends.
