The pools were a real hit with my daughter and me, and the hotel made a nice first impression. But by midweek I was extremely ill, vomiting continuously for eight hours. On our first night, we could hear someone in the next room being violently sick all night, so we should have been warned. We stopped eating at the hotel, though there isn’t much nearby. Our room was full of ants, but the hotel upgraded us. Don’t bother with the arcade, either: none of the machines work, and they just take your kids’ money. Everywhere you looked, something seemed broken, so it didn’t feel like a four-star hotel. I’ve given four stars for service because the kids’ entertainer was great and my daughter loved the mini disco.

The children's entertainment was very good. I think the man who mostly ran it was Nico, and he was brilliant at engaging the children and keeping them involved. It’s a large, very busy hotel with families and very well-behaved children. The rooms were kept clean, and there was a good selection of food at each meal. The dining room stayed very clean despite all the people using it, and we always found a table quickly when we went in.

The staff were very nice and seemed to enjoy their work, and there was lots of fun for the kids. But the pools were freezing, while the sea was much warmer. Our room’s toilet door was broken, and a bad smell came from the pipes. I don’t know whether it was a virus or the food, but we were terribly sick for the last three days. I saw quite a few other guests with the same problem. If the pools were heated, it would be perfect for children. The hotel should prohibit smoking around the kids’ pools. We couldn’t open the balcony door because someone was smoking weed. That isn’t acceptable, especially with so many children around. Unfortunately, I’d never come back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The kids loved all the pools and slides, and the snack bar was handy for them. The fresh pizza was really nice. There was a good food selection most days, and we never had trouble finding something to eat. My room in the Mallorca Block was big enough and clean. Some areas looked a little dated, but the standard was generally good. The staff were very friendly and worked hard to keep everything tidy. I thought it was a great family hotel and would definitely go back.
