Casa Aljez

Adela had the heating and wood-burning stove going when we arrived, and even left breakfast for us. The apartment was spotless and welcoming, the beds were very comfortable, and the towels were clean. We had a lovely three days and it was a really good experience. Highly recommend it.

The house is full of thoughtful details and feels harmonious in every corner. It was perfectly clean, and the beds were comfortable. It’s also a quiet spot right by the must-see sights in Calatayud, and parking was easy to find. Everything we needed was there for a few restful days exploring this beautiful part of Aragon. Adela, we’ll be back.

We stayed in Alabaster while the whole family was visiting Calatayud this week, and it was an unbeatable experience. The restored doors, unusual bathroom/cave, towel racks, room walls, windows, and lamps all show how much care and time went into the rustic apartments. Original details are everywhere, and the decor is distinctive without missing a thing. Adela is an exceptional host who takes care of every detail. The fireplace was already lit when we arrived, along with the radiators, and she provided everything we needed for breakfast for both days. She lives very close, so anything we needed was quickly available. The house is in the heart of the old town, in Calatayud’s Jewish quarter, with views of the Mudéjar Tower of Santa Maria, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a special place to relax and explore Calatayud and the surrounding region. If the whole family gets together again, we’ll definitely return.

Adela was so attentive and kindly left us breakfast, too. We had a wonderful weekend at Casa Aljez. The house is beautiful, with care taken over every detail. I highly recommend it.
