The walls are thin, unfortunately. Someone in the building talked through the night, and both we and several other pilgrims we spoke with in the morning missed out on a good rest. Bring earplugs. Apart from that, it was terrific and spotlessly clean, just steps from the Camino. We appreciated the shared kitchen, free coffee, and fridge. The chocolate, juice, and sweet bread waiting on arrival were a nice touch. Laundry cost 4€ to wash and 4€ to dry. I only wish there had been a change machine.

I booked a room at Estrella ahead of time on WhatsApp because their prices there were lower than on Booking. When we arrived and contacted Jorgeline, she told us everything was full because of an overbooking. She offered us another nice apartment, but the price was a lot higher, going from 50€ to 85€. Jorgelina was friendly and nice.

The hostess was really nice and took time to explain the place and suggest places to visit. Our room was spacious, with a great bathroom, and everything was very clean with all the modern conveniences. It's right off the Camino, so getting back on the trail was easy, and the northern edge of town was quiet. We enjoyed the stay and would gladly come back.

Breakfast came ready to take along: fruit, juice, a roll, and jam. There was also a large, well-equipped kitchen. The host was very welcoming, and the room and bathroom were spacious, with a great shower and fluffy towels. Laundry was easy too, with a sink and clothesline and a washer available. It's about a 10-minute walk from downtown, close to where the Camino Portugues leaves the highway again.

It was pouring, so the hostess drove us to a restaurant for dinner and came back to collect us afterward. She even took my husband to an ATM to get cash for the next day. She was very welcoming, explained where to make coffee, and let us know breakfast was included. The room was large, with a wardrobe, and the bathroom was very comfortable. She also packed us a lunch for the journey.
