The path leading up to the hotel feels like another world, and the grounds and buildings are spectacular. This may be the most beautiful small hotel on the Camino, maybe even in all of Spain. Photos don’t capture how unusual and special it is. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were both delicious. If you’re in this part of Spain, just stay here.

We’re nearing the end of our Camino, and this hotel was such a lovely treat. It’s a short trip from town and well worth it. The atmosphere, food, and staff were all magnificent.

The setting was sensational, with the grounds kept up really well. Two creeks run along either side of the hotel, and a waterfall pours into the pool. We had a great stay, with friendly, courteous staff and great food and drinks.

That natural pool, fed by a thunderous waterfall, is something else. Sitting around it with a generous Galician gin and tonic was heaven. The building and gardens are beautiful, and the rooms, staff, service, and food were all wonderful. An unbelievable experience all round, this place is faultless.

This place feels like a dream, almost straight out of a fairytale, on a little semi-island surrounded by the river. Our top-floor room was amazing, with a lovely view over the gardens, and the staff were so friendly. We’ll be back! For anyone with coeliac disease, the kitchen has gluten-free bread at breakfast and offered to toast mine separately to avoid cross-contamination.
