We left feeling very unwelcome. The menu outside said share plates, but once inside, when I explained my husband couldn't eat much, the server practically shouted that sharing wasn't allowed and whisked the plate away. When I asked for a fork, the response was harsh. After salad, I asked for condiments and was pointed toward a table of oils, while other diners had the usual oil and vinegar brought to them. I didn't dare ask for a translation, and ended up with a pork sausage, which I don't usually eat, plus two thin slices of potato and grilled capsicum. Dessert was a scoop of coconut ice cream over four thin pineapple rounds. The meal cost €20, compared with an average of €12. We'd only been here four days and hadn't had a chance to learn much Catalan. If you don't speak Catalan or Spanish, this may not be a good place to go. Maybe they've had one too many aggressive English-speaking tourists.

The room looked pretty okay, but the walls were so thin I could barely sleep. There wasn't any warm water in the shower either.

The staff are the best part, always smiling and really helpful. It's an excellent price too. For me, this is the best place to stay in town, and I'm grateful to the hotel and its staff.

The food was excellent and especially nicely prepared. There's a fantastic garden and a special play area for children. The daily menu is fairly priced.
