Hostal Fabrellas

The courtyard was my favorite part. You can sit under the trees in a lovely atmosphere and have breakfast there, though I'm not sure it's worth the price since it's mostly bread and baked goods. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the historic medieval town, and the room was quiet and clean. It's very basic, but that's clear when you book. Having private parking at no extra charge is a big plus. I just wish they'd clearly marked the entrance as belonging to the hostal. The old town has narrow one-way streets and mostly nowhere to park.

The town is one of the prettiest I've visited in a long time, and I wish we'd had longer to explore its history and try the thermal spa just a few hundred yards away. I absolutely adore this peaceful, quiet little gem. After a bad experience at a supposed five-star hotel, I'd give this place five stars myself.

I've never experienced worse service. My flight to Barcelona was delayed by two hours, and I reached the airport at 11 PM. I called the Hostel right away, explained what had happened, and begged them to wait. They said they wouldn't, and that they opened at 8 AM. I asked if they could leave the keys somewhere so I could get in and complete check-in first thing in the morning. Same answer: nobody would be there after midnight and they couldn't do anything. I asked if they were really leaving me stranded to find somewhere else or sleep in the car. The woman on the phone simply said yes. After the call, I got an email from booking after midnight saying my booking had been marked as a no-show, my remaining nights were cancelled, and I'd been charged 61 EUR. Unbelievable. Avoid this place at any cost. The hospitality was awful.

The rooms were unbelievably small and in pretty bad shape. The price was extremely high for what you get.
